Myself and my son are walking the Portugese Camino for The Fire Fighters Charity because they do great work helping injured firefighters
100% of everything we raise is going to the Firefighters Charity.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of The Fire Fighters Charity. To mark the occasion, and to ensure that the Charity can support the fire community for another 75 years, they have recently launched their latest fundraising campaign; #My75miles. The idea is to complete 75 miles raising £75 or more in the process.
Having had need of the charity's help following surgery, myself and my son, Jim, who is also a serving wholetime firefighter with Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service have decided to walk 300km (4x75) from Porto to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, (a pilgrimage also known as 'The way of St James'), with a view to raising £300 along the way.
Please give generously to allow the FF's Charity to continue to help the firefighters who with dedication and professionalism are there 24/7, 365 days of the year when needed by the community they serve.
